Most of our vaccines are available Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment only. Please call the pharmacy at 517.353.3500 to set up an appointment today


All vaccines offered by the MSU Pharmacy are billed to the patients pharmacy insurance coverage. Most insurances (including MSU's prescription coverage) pay for all vaccinations with no copay. The pharmacy staff will communicate all costs before vaccine administration.

Tetanus is a rare but serious disease caused by bacteria spores. Remaining current on tetanus is wise when enjoying the outdoors. There are several vaccines which protect against tetanus, Health Care pharmacy provides the Tdap vaccine for adults 18 and older which protects against tetanus, diptheria and pertussis.



About 1 out of every 3 people in the United States will develop shingles, also known as herpes zoster, in their lifetime. An estimated 1 million people get shingles each year in this country. If you’ve ever had chickenpox, you can get shingles. Even children can get shingles. Your risk of shingles increases as you get older.

Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the Influenza Virus. It can cause mild to severe illness. Serious outcomes of flu infection can result in hospitalization or death. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at high risk of serious flu complications. There are two main types of influenza (flu) virus: Types A and B. The influenza A and B viruses that routinely spread in people (human influenza viruses) are responsible for seasonal flu epidemics each year.

The best way to prevent flu is by getting vaccinated each year.

Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. The air sacs may fill with fluid or pus (purulent material), causing cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing. A variety of organisms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi, can cause pneumonia.
